Processes for the Intelligent and High Efficiency Recovery of Material Resources and their circularity towards industry and construction

The PRIEM project is a strategic research initiative designed to 1) increase the efficiency, at a cost effective level, of the recovery of higher purity (>95%) of various material resources embedded in complex waste flows, through the development of cyber-physical solutions that combine advanced sensors and artificial intelligence in processes of identification, separation, treatment and determination of the quality inherent to Ecoindustry, as well as the optimisation of the global recovery process through digitalisation, taking into account the interactions between the different phases of the process; 2) as well as the subsequent achievement of a greater increase in the circularity of these recovered resources of greater purity towards industrial (metal, plastic and paper) and construction (cement based) manufacturing through solutions, based on “blockchain” technology, that guarantee a greater level of quality information between suppliers of secondary raw materials and manufacturers, thus allowing the intelligent processing of the same in the material optimization of product formulations.
